Snake from from a Mayan Vase.

On a vase from Altar de Sacrificios, in codex-style.  It is a close-up.

Temple of the Feathered Serpent

Seated figures of Maya proportion, in Maya pose and dress, are carved among the undulations of a great feathered serpent, or literally, Quetzalcoatl, with shell sections, and double outline technique.
